Smart city and Tourism
Difficult challenges require agile governments that can leverage the power of technology and innovation.
We want to improve the relationship between the Administration and the citizens, we want technology to be at their service. We do this with an efficient, open and simplified administration, solving processes and procedures effectively and optimizing services and points of contact with citizens through digitization.
We use GovTech, disruptive technologies that solve the real problems of the city and municipal services and that are at the service of city challenges. For this, we turn to existing digital technologies in the market (AI, Blockchain, robotization, automation, 5G, etc.) with our own projects and European funding.
Tourism
We put innovation at the service of sustainable tourism. Tourism is a driving force of the Valencian economy and we promote it through innovation. For this, we have created TURIS·LAB, a laboratory whose objective is that tourism positively impacts cities. We work together with sector actors and existing technologies to identify challenges, opportunities, problems and solutions.
Actions:
- Creation of a meeting point that is a space for analysis and observation of tourism.
- Development of solutions through prototypes that solve the detected challenges such as:
- Development of a sensor system in the city to visualize tourist flows and make decisions based on data.
- Organization of activities, workshops, events and hackathons.
València, also participates in the European project FU-TOURISM (Official website), an initiative to support the ecosystem of small and medium-sized tourist companies on the path to ecological and digital resilience.
Our city is one of the two pilot cities, from 6 European countries, where an acceleration and scaling program of these companies is executed that develop strategies and activities aimed at a greener, digital and inclusive economy.
