The Valencia City Council, through València Innovation Capital, has launched a new grant call totalling €600,000 to support startups in the seed stage (the initial stages of their development). With a significative increase from €400,000 in the previous edition, this initiative seeks to foster a more inclusive, digital, and resilient city by supporting innovative startups that contribute to Valencia’s transformation into a leading European tech hub.
The Valencia City Council’s incubation and acceleration program for seed-stage startups is specifically designed to support early-stage startups with high growth potential. Recognizing the unique challenges faced by entrepreneurs at the start of their journey, València Innovation Capital provides essential resources, customized training, expert mentoring, and access to an extensive network of contacts.
The call, with a budget of €600,000, targets startups working in strategic sectors, including: sustainability, Artificial Intelligence (AI), health and well-being, gaming, innovative and sustainable tourism, SmartCity and GovTech, diversity, talent, and EdTech, and those startups that combine technology, innovation and sustainability to address and mitigate natural disasters such as the DANA storms affecting the Valencia region.
Chosen startups will receive grants of up to €25,000 to cover operational expenses, as long as they they meet the requirements for participation in the incubation and acceleration program that will be developed in La Harinera, the municipal facility dedicated to fostering technological entrepreneurship in Valencia.
