About the programme
If you are developing an innovative solution to reduce food loss and food waste across the agri-food value chain, Agro·lab ToNoWaste provides the support, tools and connections you need to grow your project.
Led by València Innovation Capital as part of the European ToNoWaste project, this acceleration programme supports startups, entrepreneurs and innovative initiatives developing technological solutions to transform the agri-food system into a more sustainable, efficient and responsible model.
Throughout the programme, you will work alongside experts from the innovation ecosystem, receive specialised training and personalised mentoring, and have the opportunity to validate your solution through proof-of-concept projects in collaboration with companies from the agri-food sector.
Who is it for
The open call is aimed at entrepreneurs, innovative initiatives and startups developing technology-based solutions to prevent and reduce food loss and food waste.
The programme is looking for projects capable of generating a positive impact across the entire agri-food value chain, particularly in areas such as:
- Preventing losses in agricultural production.
- Reducing food waste.
- Circular economy solutions for the agri-food sector.
- Smart inventory and storage management.
- Optimising food logistics and distribution.
- Food surplus donation and redistribution.
- Consumer behaviour change and awareness.
- Artificial intelligence and technologies applied to sustainable food systems.
The programme is designed for projects seeking to validate their technology, strengthen their business model and connect with companies, institutions and stakeholders within the agri-food and innovation ecosystem.
What does the programme offer
Agro·lab ToNoWaste combines specialised training, mentoring and real-world validation to accelerate the development of innovative solutions with an impact on the food system.
Selected startups will benefit from:
- A five-month intensive acceleration programme.
- Specialised training in entrepreneurship, innovation and business growth.
- One-to-one mentoring with professionals and experts from the agri-food sector.
- Support in designing and implementing proof-of-concept projects with partner companies.
- Access to coworking spaces at La Harinera, headquarters of València Innovation Capital.
- Networking opportunities with companies, institutions and key players in the innovation and agri-food ecosystem.
- Visibility before potential partners and investors through a Demo Day.
- Cash prizes of up to €10,000 for the highest-rated startups at the end of the programme.
