Could your ideas help build more resilient cities?
City Resilience Hack is an international hackathon taking place on September 24-25, 2026, at the Energy Discovery Centre in Tallinn (Estonia). It will bring together startups, entrepreneurs, professionals and multidisciplinary teams to develop practical solutions for real challenges proposed by European cities.
Participants will work alongside city representatives, international mentors and urban experts on areas such as:
- Emergency management and crisis communication
- Critical infrastructure and cybersecurity
- Data analysis and urban decision-making
- Health, logistics and essential public services
The most promising projects will compete for a share of the €75,000 prize fund and may access pilot projects, acceleration opportunities and connections with public institutions, companies and international specialists.
Led by the City of Tallinn and Tehnopol, the initiative also involves Valencia, Helsinki, Dnipro and Lviv and will take place in the Estonian capital as part of Estonian Defence Week.
As part of the hackathon’s organising team, Startup Valencia will connect the initiative with multidisciplinary teams and specialised talent from the Valencian tech ecosystem, helping them develop solutions for the challenges presented by participating cities.
The Valencia City Council, through Valencia Innovation Capital, will contribute Valencia’s perspective by helping identify the city’s urban needs and the priority areas participants will be invited to address.
The call is open to startups, established teams and individual professionals. You can also apply without a complete team and join a multidisciplinary group during the programme.
