Commissioned directly by the Mayor’s Office, the team is tasked with addressing two major city challenges using an open innovation methodology that has been successfully implemented in municipalities around the world. By joining this initiative, València becomes part of a global community of more than 100 cities across 16 countries, sharing proven methodologies and learning with leading international peers.
The innovation team works to break down administrative silos and support the city’s transformation through the expert use of data, human-centred design and the testing of scalable solutions.
The i-team València focuses its efforts on two critical city challenges: Challenge 1: Climate-resilient and accessible playgrounds; Challenge 2: Protecting vulnerable groups during emergencies.
