The latest GovTech Challenge published by València Innovation Capital on the Public Sector Procurement Platform is titled Fire+10+100. The challenge aims to develop a support system for the fire and rescue service to assist with evacuation and firefighting operations in buildings, while providing real-time, accessible alerts to occupants. The name Fire+10+100 refers to buildings with more than 10 storeys or more than 100 dwellings, as these present the greatest operational complexity during emergency situations.

Through València Innovation Capital, the València City Council aims to help prevent tragedies such as the one that occurred in the Campanar district in 2024.

As part of its GovTech Challenges, the City Council is inviting startups, companies and other organisations to develop a system capable of collecting real-time fire-related information and displaying it digitally on building floor plans to support emergency response. The winning solution will receive a €50,000 contract (excluding VAT) to develop the project!
