The València City Council, through València Innovation Capital, has launched a new GovTech Challenge: SmartTourFlow. This project competition seeks advanced technological solutions to identify, monitor and predict tourist flows across the city.

The SmartTourFlow challenge aims to develop a digital tool capable of monitoring and forecasting tourist flows in real time, issuing alerts, and improving both visitor experience and safety in public spaces.

Proposals may incorporate technologies such as big data, artificial intelligence and digital twins.

The winning project will receive a €50,000 contract (excluding VAT) to develop a pilot within 12 months. The two highest-scoring finalist proposals will each receive a €2,500 award (excluding VAT). Applications may be submitted until 21 September 2025 through the Public Sector Procurement Platform and will be evaluated by an independent panel of experts.
