On 12 August, València will be one of the best places to witness a total solar eclipse, an extraordinary astronomical event that has not been visible from the Iberian Peninsula for more than a century. To mark this unique occasion, València Innovation Capital is presenting an immersive experience at Las Naves, developed in collaboration with the technology studio DeuSens.

The experience combines science communication, virtual reality and artificial intelligence to explain how a solar eclipse occurs, why it has played such an important role in the advancement of astronomy, and how to observe it safely.

Visitors will be able to enjoy a virtual reality experience that recreates the eclipse from space, helping them understand the alignment of the Sun, the Moon and the Earth. The exhibition also features an artificial intelligence installation that transforms each visitor into the protagonist of the great astronomical expeditions of the early 20th century through a commemorative portrait.

In addition, the exhibition explores the history of the 1905 eclipse, provides recommendations for safe viewing and shares fascinating facts about one of the most remarkable astronomical events of recent decades.
