Producers MixJam · Jam Session — Bring a track. Get on stage.
Jam session for producers, beatmakers, DJs, live musicians, and visual artists. Each participant brings one of their own tracks, some loops, or their DJ set. We form small teams, put together a short set with visuals, and perform it that same afternoon on stage, with a projector and a real sound system.
MONDAY, NOVEMBER 23 · 5:30–7:45 p.m. · Las Naves (C/ Joan Verdeguer 16, Valencia)
PROGRAM (subject to change)
5:30 PM Connect: reception, welcome, and live MixTheVid demo
6:00 PM Form a team: small groups put together their set with music and visuals
7:00 PM Jam on stage: each team performs their set live
7:45 PM End
WHO IT’S FOR (up to 20 creators): producers (visuals for their tracks and releases), DJs (visuals for their sets; they may bring their own controllers), live musicians (visuals for their live performances, featuring their instrument or voice), and visual artists/VJs (who play their clips in sync with other artists’ music).
WHAT TO BRING: a laptop with Chrome, wired headphones, and your music (or your controller, if you’re a DJ). If you don’t have anything ready, come anyway—we’ll provide what you need. The pads, projector, and stage are provided by the organizers.
WHAT YOU’LL TAKE AWAY: your set with new visuals, ready to perform; licenses for our tools; new people to collaborate with; and content for your social media recorded during your live set.
GEAR ON STAGE: Ableton Push 3, Akai MPC Key 37, Boss RC-505 Loop Station, microphones, and electric guitar. On each table, a pad controller for playing MixTheVid, the Artek Futura app that turns your videos into an instrument: each pad triggers a clip, and the screen responds to the beat of the music.
Organized by: Artek Futura, which creates tools for musicians and artists: Zongtopia (learn production through play), Fix The Mix (analyze and correct your mix), MixTheVid (live music and video), and HumanArtBox (your music paired with a visual artwork, every day).
