Next Saturday, 30 May, Las Naves will host a new edition of the Sono·lab Music Hackathon, a day dedicated to experimental and electronic music creation in real time, culminating in a public listening session open to everyone from 6:00 pm.

Throughout the day, 30 participants will create an original composition using the same 10-second audio sample in an intensive music production challenge that combines creativity, technology and sonic experimentation. After six hours of work, all the pieces will be presented at the Sala Polivalent at Las Naves, where the audience will discover how a single sound sample can be transformed into completely different musical creations.

The public listening session is free to attend until full capacity is reached and offers an opportunity to experience contemporary creative processes linked to electronic music, sound art and experimental music.

In addition to the public presentation, a panel of expert judges will select the three winning compositions based on originality, technical quality and the creative use of the audio sample provided.

Those wishing to take part as competitors can still register until 29 May (V Sono·lab Music Hackathon). The call is open to people of any nationality interested in experimental and electronic music production, with a maximum of 30 places, allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.

The Music Hackathon is part of the Sono·lab programme and is organised within the València Innovation Capital and València Music City strategies, which promote music and cultural innovation as drivers of creativity and urban development.
