• València Innovation Capital has launched three challenges as part of the VIC GovTech Open Innovation Programme, aimed at startups, scaleups and digital SMEs
• Applications are open until 7 July, and the winning solutions will receive up to €50,000 to develop a pilot project

The VIC GovTech Open Innovation Programme, launched by València Innovation Capital, is inviting startups, scaleups and digital SMEs to help transform the city’s public services and processes through three innovation challenges:

1. How could we use available urban data to manage on-street parking spaces more efficiently without affecting reserved spaces (accessible parking, loading and unloading bays, and taxi ranks)? OPEN – View ProjectCall
2. How could we improve the incident management system used by employees of the València City Council so that issues are resolved more efficiently and users receive the right support and a better overall experience? OPEN – View ProjectCall
3. How could we scale València Innovation Capital’s communications by automating content creation, activating ecosystem partners and measuring impact in an integrated way, without increasing the workload of the communications team? OPEN – View ProjectCall

The selected solutions will be tested through a four-month pilot programme alongside municipal teams.

What do the winning projects receive?
– Up to €50,000 to develop a GovTech pilot.
– Validation in a real municipal environment.
