  • The Break València focuses on promoting high-impact projects and seeks to build a community connected to the 1,000 European women entrepreneurs who have participated in previous editions, as well as to bring solutions to local challenges back to the region
  • This is the first time that València Innovation Capital has launched a program featuring an international stay in Europe, during which participants will spend two weeks at an entrepreneurship organization in the EU

The Valencia City Council, through Valencia Innovation Capital and in collaboration with the School of Industrial Organization (EOI), is launching The Break Valencia, a program aimed at innovative female entrepreneurs from Valencia with the goal of accelerating their projects, strengthening their businesses, and expanding their professional network at the European level.

Paula Llobet, the councilor for Innovation, explained that The Break València is “a unique opportunity to foster female entrepreneurial talent in our city.” “With this program,” she emphasized, “we not only strengthen the projects of our innovative female entrepreneurs, but we also connect them with an international community committed to innovation and positive impact.”

The program was launched thanks to co-financing from the European Social Fund+ and addresses the need to promote innovative women’s entrepreneurship in Valencia, building on the previous success of other similar initiatives, such as The Break Fellowship and The Break España, which have attracted more than 1,000 women entrepreneurs from across Europe since 2022.

The Goals of The Break València

The Break València joins this community with three main objectives. First, to accelerate high-impact projects; to this end, it plans to provide participants with a personalized learning journey that will enable them to strengthen their business models and ensure their sustainability. Second, it seeks to build a community connected to the 1,000 European women entrepreneurs who have participated in previous editions by fostering synergies and international collaborations. And finally, it aims to bring solutions to local challenges back to the region through open innovation activities.

In this first edition of 2025, The Break València will support 20 innovative female entrepreneurs from the province of Valencia, who will receive, over the course of the project’s four-month duration, a total of 100 hours of personalized mentoring and specialized training in business development, women’s leadership, and impact projects. The program will be based at La Harinera, the historic building that has been renovated and converted into a center for innovation and technological entrepreneurship in the city of Valencia.

International Stay in Europe

This is the first time that València Innovation Capital has launched a program that includes an international stay in Europe. As part of the program, the participating women will spend two weeks at an entrepreneurship organization in the EU.

The Break València is part of a community of innovative women entrepreneurs who share values such as mutual support, collaboration, sisterhood, courage, and a commitment to regenerative innovation.
