  • During the event, initiatives supported by the 2025 edition will be presented, providing an opportunity to share lessons learned, best practices, and challenges facing the sector
  • In addition, a training session has been scheduled that focuses on key aspects such as administrative management, the justification of grants, and the strategic design of cultural projects.

Valencia is strengthening its commitment to music with a new round of València Music City grants, totaling 200,000 euros. This represents a 33% increase over the first edition, which had a budget of 150,000 euros, given the high level of participation in the previous edition. This budget increase reinforces the City Council’s efforts to strengthen the city’s music ecosystem and enhance projects’ ability to grow, become more professional, and generate economic and cultural impact.

Paula Llobet, Councilwoman for Tourism, Innovation, and Investment Attraction, emphasized that “this budget increase is a clear sign that Valencia believes in its music
y sector and in its ability to generate value, jobs, and international visibility.” In this regard, she stressed that “it’s not just about increasing resources, but about building a stronger, more professional, and more competitive ecosystem.”

In this context, Las Naves will host an outreach and training event this Wednesday for the beneficiary projects and the music sector as a whole, organized by València Music City as part of the València Innovation Capital strategy. The event is designed as a practical forum for sharing real-world experiences, improving project management, and strengthening preparations for the upcoming call for proposals.

Overview of Initiatives Supported in 2025

During the event, initiatives supported in the 2025 edition will be presented, providing an opportunity to share lessons learned, best practices, and challenges facing the sector. In addition, a training session will be held focusing on key aspects such as administrative management, the justification of grants, and the strategic design of cultural projects.

“We want to support the sector throughout the entire process—not just by financing projects, but by helping them become established and grow on a solid foundation,” said Llobet, who emphasized that “Valencia has talent, a vibrant creative scene, and a real opportunity to become a European music hub.”

The event will also serve as a prelude to the launch of the new call for proposals, which is part of the València Music City 2025–2030 strategy—a plan that positions music as the cornerstone of the city’s cultural, social, and economic development. Through this model, the City Council is promoting collaborative governance that connects the administration, the industry, and the public to strengthen the music ecosystem.

With this new momentum, Valencia continues to strengthen its position as a leading Music City and to advance its commitment to the professionalization of the sector and to music as a tool for urban transformation and a driver of the future.
