Valencia’s GovTech Accelerator reaches a new milestone: training phase completed as startups prepare for Demo Day

The Valencia GovTech Accelerator, led by València Innovation Capital, has reached another major milestone. The programme’s 10 finalist startups have successfully completed its training pathway—an intensive programme designed to prepare technology companies to work effectively with the public sector.

The accelerator now enters its final stage ahead of the Demo Day on 11 February, where each startup will showcase its solution and use cases to public institutions and key players from the innovation ecosystem:

– Eldes – Digital solutions for citizen communication.
– CHATPOL – AI-powered solutions for public safety and local police.
– CivitPhone – A digital platform to strengthen communication between citizens and local authorities.
– Inclusif – Technology for more accessible and inclusive cities.
– Linkhub.ai – Agentic AI systems for automating complex tasks.
– NeoCheck – Digital identity verification and cybersecurity solutions.
– Oonlive – Secure digital tools for citizen participation.
– Placenet – Smart solutions to connect and manage public spaces.
– QuantumSec – Advanced cybersecurity solutions for public administrations.
– Umibots – Autonomous robotics for urban operations.

A training programme focused on preparing startups for the public sector

Through in-person workshops and one-to-one mentoring sessions, participating companies learned how to position and sell their solutions to public administrations, understand public procurement processes, and navigate tendering procedures with greater confidence. This knowledge is essential for strengthening their capabilities and addressing the specific requirements of the public sector market. The startups also explored how to transform technological products into secure, user-friendly public services that can be easily integrated into existing government systems. Key topics included user-centred service design, integration within public administrations, and the security requirements needed to deploy solutions at scale.

The programme featured contributions from experts at Gobe, INCIBE, ARUP, València Innovation Capital, the Valencia City Council, and successful startups such as ImpactE and Visualfy, who shared real-world examples, best practices, and practical guidance to help participants adapt their solutions to the needs of municipal services. In addition, the startups benefited from a dedicated pool of GovTech mentors who worked directly with them throughout the programme.

As a result of this training phase, each company has developed a concrete public-sector use case and refined a clear, viable value proposition for government organisations. Their solutions are designed to help public administrations deliver more agile, efficient, and citizen-centred services.

Countdown to Demo Day

On 11 February, the Valencia GovTech Accelerator will host its Demo Day, the programme’s closing event. The finalist startups will present their use cases, key learnings, and collaboration proposals to representatives from public administrations, technology companies, and organisations from the GovTech ecosystem. More than the conclusion of the acceleration programme, the event represents an opportunity to foster future pilot projects, strategic partnerships, and potential innovative public procurement initiatives.

With this new milestone, Valencia reinforces its position as a leading GovTech hub, where public administrations, startups, and the innovation ecosystem work together to develop solutions that improve life in the city.
