  • Spain has granted Valencia Digital Summit (@vds_event) the status of Event of Exceptional Public Interest (AEIP), a recognition that enables significant tax incentives for sponsors and strengthens the event’s international positioning within the global innovation and technology ecosystem.

This designation is also the result of the strategic work carried out by València Innovation Capital, the innovation strategy promoted by the Valencia City Council, which has played a key role in consolidating the city as an international benchmark in technology, entrepreneurship and the digital economy. Through its commitment to innovation, international outreach and collaboration across the ecosystem, València has strengthened the global relevance of Valencia Digital Summit and its impact within the European tech landscape.

This recognition further consolidates València’s role as one of Europe’s leading technology and innovation hubs, increasing its attractiveness for startups, international companies, investors and ecosystem stakeholders participating in the event.

The announcement comes at a time of strong growth for both the city and the national ecosystem. València closed 2025 with €229 million in investment, positioning itself as Spain’s third-largest tech hub. At national level, Spain’s technology ecosystem reached €125 billion, ranking eighth in Europe and multiplying its value by 2.3 since 2020.

Sectors such as Health, DeepTech and Artificial Intelligence continue to drive this growth, reflecting a sustained evolution towards high value-added industries and reinforcing Spain’s competitiveness within the European innovation ecosystem.

Together, these milestones demonstrate the growing maturity of Spain’s technology ecosystem and the increasing international relevance of València as a strategic innovation hub.
