Sono·lab, the sound research laboratory of València Innovation Capital, has opened registrations for the V València Music Hackathon, which will take place on Saturday, 30 May, at Las Naves.
The event offers an intensive music creation challenge in which up to 30 participants will compose an original piece in just six hours, using the same 10-second audio sample as the starting point. The call is open to anyone interested in electronic music, experimental music and sound art, regardless of nationality.
Throughout the day, participants will work using their own electronic equipment in the Sala Polivalent at Las Naves, within an environment designed for experimentation and real-time music creation. At the end of the challenge, all compositions will be presented during a public listening session, where a panel of expert judges will select the three winning entries.
The Music Hackathon is more than a competition. It is also a meeting point for the sound community, encouraging the exchange of ideas, collective creativity and innovation in music production.
Registrations will be open from 6 to 29 May, with places allocated on a first-come, first-served basis until capacity is reached.
