València Food Lab is the food innovation lab promoted by the València City Council through València Innovation Capital. Based at Las Naves, it has been created as an open innovation space where companies, startups, research centres, universities, gastronomy professionals, producers, public administrations and citizens collaborate to develop solutions that contribute to a healthier, more sustainable and resilient agri-food system.

The lab provides an environment for experimentation, co-creation and validation, where ideas are transformed into projects that address the major challenges facing the food system of the future. Through open innovation processes, it supports the design, prototyping and testing of new technologies, products, services and business models across the entire food value chain, from production to consumption and food recovery.

In addition, València Food Lab leverages the opportunities offered by València’s Urban Sandbox to validate innovations in real-life environments, accelerating their development and reducing barriers to implementation.
